Amateur Athletic Union USA Tour JUNIOR BEACH VOLLEYBALL 2006 USA/AAU SCHEDULES Below are Junior Beach schedules for the 2006 USA Beach Volleyball Tour usabeach.org and the 2006 Amateur Athletic Union Beach Volleyball Tour (aaubeach.com). Registration sites for each will become operational in April. More information will also be made available in April regarding High Performance Camps, specific locations of tournaments, hotel, local contacts, etc. Regional tournaments (Tier II) will also be made listed on the web sites. The USA Beach Tour will host 11 events in eight states. The AAU Beach Tour, entering its 13th season of conducting junior beach volleyball tournaments, will operate events in California, Florida, Virginia and Puerto Rico. All tournaments are open to boys and girls two person teams ages 9 to 20 (age divisions listed below), with the exception of the AAU Junior Olympics. Teams will qualify for the AAU Junior Olympics with medal finishes at any USA or AAU tournament. The AAU Junior Olympics are open to qualified boys and girls teams in the U14, U16 and U18 divisions. There will be two National High Performance Camps this summer, a HP Camp West (July 18-20 in El Segundo, CA) and a HP Camp East (July 27-30 in Virginia Beach, VA). Both Camps will be conducted by USA Beach Staff and each of the HP Camps will be followed by a TRIPLE CROWN tournament. Qualification procedure and registration information for the HP Camps will be announced in April. Consideration for FIVB Youth (U19) World Championships will be based primarily upon performance in the USA Junior Open (TRIPLE CROWN) and the AAU Junior Olympics (TRIPLE CROWN), followed by finishes in ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS and NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS. Consideration for FIVB Junior (U21) World Championships will be based mainly on the results of the USA Junior Open in addition to finishes in ZONE and NATIONAL events. High Performance Camp performance will also factor.
